I suck in my GRAPHCS class
Three hours of sitting in front of a computer at the multimedia lab of FEU - East Asia College, worrying what our GRAPHCS professor will make us do for our quiz every meeting.
Since I was young, I always used the old image editor Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7. That’s my primary image editor. I use a little Adobe Photoshop, but never felt like learning more about the application because it’s more advanced.
In our GRAPHCS class, we use GIMP. My first impression? Its interface sucks because each dialog (Layer dialog, Paths dialog, Colors dialog, etc..) is on a separate window. Or maybe it is I that sucks because I don’t know how to configure GIMP to make each dialog window stay still… Hmm. On the other hand, there are things that I like about GIMP. One example is the way users can add or subtract the coverage of image selections once an area is already selected.
And oh, I was trying to make a brush for GIMP earlier. It looks like this:
It’s not very cute, I know. n_n
I still need to familiarize myself with the tools in GIMP. T_T
Our second project is to make an image like this:

>_< BLOODY!!! Can I make an image as sleek as that? In Paint Shop Pro 7, maybe, with great effort. But, with GIMP? I don’t know. T_T Oh well, I think all I need is practice. And hey, even though it’s hard, it’s enjoyable. I’m glad I shifted courses. n_n

GRAPHCS sounds interesting..
