And by the way, the theme of the Digital Design Competition this year is “Solving the World’s Everyday Problems through Information Technology.”
I’d place that superheroine image that I made on the center of the canvas, and then scatter web browsers behind her. Those web browsers show different helpful websites that help the internet users in their everyday needs. And behind those browsers are random codes such as that of Java, html, css, PHP, etcetera.
The submission is on Friday. I really hope I can make it on time.
Some parts of the contest’s mechanics is a little vague to me. Maybe I’ll go ask Mr. Bravo about it.

]]>This question popped in my mind because some of my FEU- East Asia College schoolmates say that using Twitter inside our computer laboratories is not allowed. I’m not sure if the reason is because they consider it as a chat room.
But is Twitter really a chat room?
According to Wikipedia.org,
Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows users to send updates (otherwise known as tweets) which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length.

I don’t consider Twitter as a chat room. I only use it to Twit updates about what I’m doing, how I feel, and how I think. I use it just like a mini-blog.
But… it resembles a chat room in some way because we can send replies to other Twitter users. And when two Twitter users consequently exchange replies, they are chatting to each other. Admittedly, I do that sometimes when I have to talk to a friend that I don’t have any other form of contact with. And hey, it’s not something right to do.
So whatcha guys think about Twitter being considered a chat room?

]]>Since I was young, I always used the old image editor Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7. That’s my primary image editor. I use a little Adobe Photoshop, but never felt like learning more about the application because it’s more advanced.
In our GRAPHCS class, we use GIMP. My first impression? Its interface sucks because each dialog (Layer dialog, Paths dialog, Colors dialog, etc..) is on a separate window. Or maybe it is I that sucks because I don’t know how to configure GIMP to make each dialog window stay still… Hmm. On the other hand, there are things that I like about GIMP. One example is the way users can add or subtract the coverage of image selections once an area is already selected.
And oh, I was trying to make a brush for GIMP earlier. It looks like this:

I still need to familiarize myself with the tools in GIMP. T_T
Our second project is to make an image like this:

I, together with some friends, didn’t attend classes yesterday (except PE) to get our schedule revised. On our original schedule Karen and I had a seven-hour break on Thursday. What the heck to we do for 7 hours of break time? ..No more DotA for us, we’re on rehab! Another bad thing about that schedule is that we have classes six days straight from Mondays to Saturdays. 
Sunday is the only day to rest, but I go to Bulacan every other Sunday, which means there will be almost no rest for me. 
I couldn’t live with that schedule, neither could Karen. There was a very loooooong queue yesterday outside the load adjustment room and they had to cut the queue long before our turn because it was already late. We came back this morning to get our schedule revised and absented ourselves from our Application Project class. I was always anxious about running out of slots in the sections we chose, but fortunately, we still had slots to occupy.
Now, with the revised schedule, we don’t have classes on Wednesdays anymore. All our classes start at 9 AM, aside from Saturday when our Physics lab starts at 7 AM. Hoo-boy, I hate waking up as early as 6 AM, but that’s alright coz I only have to do that once a week. Our seven-hour break is gone! We have two 2 days when our last class is until 7:30 PM and one class until 7:00 PM… My energy is usually drained around that time, but oh well.
I hate my PE class, HMODCOM2, and CPHYSC2 classes. Our PE is all about dancing, and I totally hate dancing. I hate it as much as it hates me. Our PE is during 6 to 7:30 at night, so, it’s really a nightmare. I hate HMODCOM2 because it’s all about speech, and I hate going in front of everyone to speak. So, apparently, I simply don’t want attention to be drawin onto me because I’m too shyyyy. 
CPHYSC2 is physics, so apparently, I would be hating on this subject. I’m so very poor in physics. Just like in dancing, I hate physics as much as it hates me.
On the brighter side of my first term as a sophomore student of FEU- East Asia College, there’s one class that I’m really excited about, and it is MULWEB1. All my friends know how much I love web design. 
It’s my passion. It’s the main reason for my shifting into an IT course! 
Today I attended my CPHYSC2 and OBJPROG. Our “tentative” physics professor is… uh, I forgot. Can you help me recall, Panda? Our OBJPROG professor is Sir Mars, that tall man I always see around the school, and the one who proctored our ADVPROG final exam with the door open, while we got distracted with all the noise from outside. I think he’s okay though. We’ll be using the Java programming language. Hmmm… Might put up a free download of the compiler here in the blog….if I can.
BTW, don’t you guys think in wall home theater speakers are pretty nice to have? It’s great to watch movie with the sound quality as good as it could be, and home theater speakers are perfect for those who can’t live without good sound quality. And also, in-wall speakers are nifty because they save space.

I spend my summer holiday in front of the PC.
Well, I guess it sounds like it sucks big time, but for me, it doesn’t. I had worse summer holidays when I was younger. I’d spend the entire week in front of the Playstation (I didn’t have the Playstation 2 yet when I was a video game addict) without leaving it, unless when I’m about to sleep (around 1 or 2 AM). And first thing I do in the morning is mash the Playstation’s controller buttons. I guess it’s kinda the same thing that’s happening this summer, I use the computer non-stop, but this time, I’m being productive. I have recorded many songs and have resumed work on my blogs.
On my next summer holiday I would want to go have a vacation in Portugal, in Algarve, to be particular. Algavre is on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, the beaches are so clean! It’s really beautiful in there, I’m sure it’ll be a perfect vacation spot. So many things I can do there, such as swimming, playing golf, playing tennis, exploring, fishing, horse riding, blokarting, and much more.
Praia da Ilha de Faro (close to the airport, but really crowded) , Praia Verde (gotta love the greenery!), and Praia da Bordeira (has great-looking sand dunes!) are just some of the wonderful beaches in Algarva.

I just suddenly remembered that my friends want to go to Puerto Galera 
Oh well, I probably won’t be able to come along. We all know how overprotective my parents are. I’ll just go with my parents for a vacation in Algarve and enjoy the wonderful vacation spot, which I think is much better than Puerto Galera.

]]> I’d be back to the time when I was still 5 years old. That time I was in kindergarten, in Lorenzo Ruiz Academy. Not so many things are happening in my life right now, but it’s very complicated. I’m having several dilemmas to decide about, concerning people who are special to me. But everything won’t happen if I hadn’t made “those” mistakes in the past. So, carrying with the everything I know right now, I’d shun all those mistakes and hopefully live a less complicated life.
So, if you’d be given a chance to acquire a special ability, what would you want that power to be? The power to turn any object into stone? The power to see underneath people’s clothes? (LOL!!!) The power to fly? Power to turn any object into chocolate? (I’d want this, too!) Power to send objects flying? (*Catzie ducks*) Power to turn humans into animals? (That’s mean! XD) …or something else?

Karen and I are now IT students! I’m excited about the multimedia web design class! ..Although I think I’d be a little homesick (home = Computer Science). I guess my new home is IT, and it’s going to be my permanent residence.
So many people have been telling me that IT is the right course for an artsy person like me since my first trimester in FEU- East Asia College, but I never listened….until now.
We haven’t gotten our C.O.R. printed yet, because the coin that we tossed said we should just come back tomorrow. The queue for C.O.R. printing was sooooo long!
I only have 8 courses this term, each adding up into a total of 18.5 units, which is 1.5 units less that the total units of Computer Science students.. gaaah. I’m now an IT student!!! Hihihi.. This feels great. I just hope that my total number of units is still applicable for scholarship, or else, I’m dead.
Lately I’ve been fascinated by motorcycles. Also, motorcycle clothes. Who likes Harley Davidson motorcycle clothes? I think those motorcycle clothes are awesome. I want a black motorcycle with hints of hot pink on it.

I said that sentence so many times when we still had classes, particularly before our final exam week.
But even until now, that sentence is recurring inside my head. See, I’m keeping myself busy with the computer… recording songs, surfing time-worthy websites, looking for ways to improve my sites and ways to monetize them.
I’m the kind of person who worries too much about things I shouldn’t be worrying about. I also pressure myself to do things that I’m not very obligued to do.
I need to wind down a bit, I know…. but I just can’t. I also want to advance a bit on IT stuffs. Gaaaah… Maybe I’m pressuring myself with all these because I’m too excited about shifting into IT?
Oh well.
There’s only one thing I can think of that will take me away from all the pressure: going out with my friends…. but it’s hard that way. The places that my friends wanna go to are faraway places, and they always want to stay there late. My parents won’t allow me in places that are too far. They won’t allow me to go home late either. They are making it hard for me, but I kinda understand their point.
One thing that makes it harder for me is some people in the barkada. They don’t understand my situation and say negative comments like, “She’s already too old, yet her parents are that strict to her?!” …sharp words like those. Instead of understanding my situation like what true friends will do, they make me feel worse!
Still, I am feeling a little better everytime I think of the ones who can understand me.
Oh well, I’d be finishing this recording of Real Emotion, and play Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria while drinking an ice-cold chocolate drink.
Just a thought… Celebrities are often naming their babies with unique names. Some of the celebrity baby’s names that I found fascinating are Lyric Chanel (Kenny Anderson & Tami), Cicely Yasin (Sandra Bernhard), Lillyella (MelanieBlatt & Stuart Zender) and Keili-Shea (Mia Farrow)… Those are just some of the unique names I heard of. I came back to his office on Friday. I made my dad call first to check if he’s already there, and he was. When I faced the kind head of the College Registrar, he welcomed me with all the warmth he could give. And oh yes, he was smiling at me in a very friendly way. I felt so happy with they way he welcomed me. So, I told him I was there for an interview about my scholarship and that I brought my updated scholastic record as he ordered. No, no, he didn’t reply with, “Oh, why are you giving me that? You should present that to us on enrollment day, not here in my office.” No way. Why would the kind and honorable head of our College Registrar break what he told my dad, right? This is simply what he wrote on a sheet of paper when my dad was talking to him before:

I told him that he was talking to my dad before, and he told my dad that he’s going to interview me. The kind man didn’t try to interrupt me as I speak. Isn’t that very courteous of our College Registrar’s head?

]]> It’s a little fun, only if my feet didn’t hurt because of my shoes. I was told to go to the College Registrar of FEU- East Asia College today, the 6th of May, for an interview with the head of the College Registrar, Mr. Ralton Bancairen. My dad asked him if he could do something about my lost academic scholarship, and now Mr. Bancairen asks for my presence and my scholastic record.
Last night I decided that I go to school alone. I just wanted to try doing stuffs alone because I never did.
Before leaving home this morning, I felt a little worried that the person I am going to see isn’t around. 
Yeah, I always worry a lot. I’m a pessimist. I left home around 9:30 in the morning and headed straight to the College Registrar of FEU - East Asia College. Guess what? He’s not in the office. He’s in leave for three days! Just nice… Very nice. Telling me to go see him when he’s on leave. Well, I can say that being a pessimist can be helpful sometimes. It helps me avoid disappointments.
I thought that going back home right away wasn’t a good idea, so, I had a snack at Jollibee alone. Being alone wasn’t that bad because I was texting with some friends. At past 10, I went to St. Thomas Square to buy something from HBC. After that, I went to the grocery to buy what my mom asked me to buy. I bought myself some Twin Pops Iceberg Grape. It was yummy. I already went home after the grocery.
On my way home, when I was walking along T. Alonzo Street, it seemed to me like the road was a desert road. There’s direct sunlight, so everything looks yellowish, and lots of road excavation. The air is covered with dust and powdered cement.
As usual, there are those stupid perverted “ebeel” creatures by the sidewalks telling me nasty stuffs. Burn in hell, ebeels! 
I’ll go back to school on Saturday, maybe with Teban. He’s got business in the Registrar’s Office of FEU- East Asia College, too. Hmm.. Agendas for today? Clean my room and play Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria again.
It’s just now that I recalled that I didn’t post my Midterm and Final Grade Reports in this blog………….Meh. I might not even post them anymore because my grades are poor, but.. I might still post it for the record.. nyahahah.

]]>Something really funny happened. I was sleeptexting this morning!
I was dreaming about school and then I opened my eyes, while half-asleep I sent Stephen a message asking “When is our HMODCOM1 due?” And then I closed me eyes again.
When I woke up I read his confused response to my text message and I started laughing at myself. This never happened to me before. The funny thing is that I asked him something about a due date in our previous class, but we don’t have classes anymore! And to think that Stephen himself tells me he sleepwalks a lot!
I spent my day in Bulacan, I go there every other Sunday. All I did was sleep and practice on my guitar. It’s so hot. Summer can be irritating sometimes.
My fingertips are sore because of constantly playing the guitar, and oh, I’m trying to play leads. My fingers are so tired because of constantly texting with Pepe and Eric.
And right now, a few minutes before I go to bed, I’m smiling because of something… Something I’d rather not say here. nyahaha. Good mornight, everyone.

I’m feeling so down right now. I feel incomplete. No, not simply incomplete. I feel empty deep inside. I don’t know why. Maybe because of some people that I keep on thinking about.
There are some friends who are going to part ways with us, like Eric, Jaymee and Aldrin. There are friends who used to be very close to me, but now they are slowly becoming strangers that I can’t understand, and it hurts me.
Also, how can I be happy about finally having my summer break if I’m about to find out that I failed in INCOBOL and that I already lost my scholarship. If I pass INCOBOL, I’d still probably lose the scholarship because of low grades in HMODCOM1, DASTRUC, ANAGEOM, Physics, and of course, INCOBOL. I really lost my focus on my studies this school term. Seems like I need to take this as my punishment for being so lazy.
I need to go to school either tomorrow or on Saturday because my HMODCOM1 professor hasn’t signed my exam permit yet! …darn. I don’t want to see a 9.0 (incomplete) on my grade report… Hmm.. Is that the only course that I haven’t got my permit signed yet? …oh no. And oh, I’ll go to LRA to get my year book.
This cough and cold (again) is also hindering me from having fun. I wanna go out, but I can’t, because I feel sick.
